Due to the economic and financial situation of the country, Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit focuses at this stage on Economy and Development pillar through launching accelerated national programs, aiming at finding quick and sustainable solutions for top priority areas like finance, economy, and employment. The increasing global competitiveness, the current phase requirements, and the need for digitization to improve the quality of services were all put into consideration while designing these programs.

It focuses on promoting and enabling the role of the private sector in leading the economic development through creating an attractive investment environment.
This program aims at developing the finance sector through introducing initiatives and projects that develop and promote the role of the banking sector and financing solutions, in addition to promoting the role of Capital Market in finance and investment, in order to achieve integration between financial, monetary, and economic policies.

This program aims at enabling the economic diversification sectors through addressing economic challenges, and expanding the production and export base, in order to enhance its contribution in non-oil revenues. The program is divided into two streams: planning and implementation, and focuses on several sectors: transport, logistics, manufacturing, mining, tourism, and food security.
