Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit launched its website (www.oman2040.om), an integrative, flexible and interactive platform that is designed to enable the specialists, researches and interested individuals to access the final version of the vision’s document, learn about the national programs, and the Unit's work methodologies for monitoring and evaluating performance.

In this context, the General Supervisor of Communication and Media at the Unit, Ali bin Salim Al-Rawahi, said that the launching of this website is part of the Unit’s communication plan for this year, promoting partnership between the Unit and society in one hand, and the Unit and various national sectors on the other. This comes after the establishment of the Unit’s system of work, including its methodologies of analysis, planning, development, monitoring, evaluation, intervention and escalation, within a framework of governance that enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of the Unit, and enables it to fulfil its mandated roles in accordance with Royal Decree No. 100/2020.

The website consists of a number of sections, the first of which is a dedicated section for the unique history, civilization, culture and geographical location of the Sultanate of Oman. Another section is designed to represent Oman Vision 2040’s pillars, national priorities, indicators and national programs, as well as a section dedicated for the Unit, including the speech of its chairman, an overview about the establishment of the Unit, its roles and responsibilities, vision, mission and values, its work methodologies to follow-up and support the efforts in order to achieve Oman Vision 2040, the approved framework to develop the vision’s programs, and the sectors development platforms.

Moreover, the website has a publications section, including Oman Vision 2040 document, annual reports, and booklets. There is also a section dedicated for the community participation platform, which will be launched later this year, as well as the Media Center for News and Events of the Unit, and a special section for communication and providing suggestions. The Unit website also includes icons for the Unit's accounts on social media platforms, to enable browsers direct access to the posts of the Unit in all of its accounts.

The design of the website is adaptable to various devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Later on, the Unit will include the website voice reader feature in both Arabic and English, in addition to sign language for those with audiovisual disabilities, to enable them to learn about the Vision and the Unit, follow its news and participate.
